So, you want to host a meeting? Or do you just have a suggestion for a topic? Good for you!
Contact any member of the Steering Committee. The committee meets in November to decide on four meetings for the coming year.
Here's what you'll need:
A topic. We can help you develop your raw idea into that which would benefit the professional development of our members.
Speakers. Most of our hosts usually have something they wish to present, and we encourage this. But we can also help you flesh out your program with other professionals who have relevant information or experiences to share.
A date. The Steering Committee generally recommends a season, but welcomes your input and, of course, will work with you to find a date that works for your institution.
A space. Meetings usually attract 30 to 50 members.
Equipment. Any special equipment (projectors, etc. depending on the nature of the topic and presentations).
Food. Most hosts provide an array of munchies, soft drinks, and coffee. Members pay $5 at the door to defray this expense.
Invitation. A steering committee member will help you put together the invitation. Invitations (in pdf format) will be sent out via email by a member of the CMEG Steering Committee.
