"The Stage is Set" summer theater camp The Stage is Set summer theater camp is an eight-week long program designed to give kids a complete theatrical experience, from set design and costume selection to dramatic and comedic performance. The camp is divided into five weeks of classes and preparation. The remaining three weeks are devoted to intense rehearsal for a public Grand Finale. The camp starts out with a substantial number of kids, excited and ready to go. Ninety to ninety-five percent of the students demonstrate the positive attitude and discipline necessary to complete the camp. Summer camp costs $55.00 for the first child add $15.00 for every child after that (for one family). For kids out side of our community it costs $75.00 for the first child and $25.00 for every child after that (for one family). The West Humboldt Park community is bounded on the east by Kedzie Avenue, on the west by Pulaski, on the north by Augusta Boulevard, and on the south by Ferdinand Street. A $5 fee is charged for late registration. "West Humboldt Park Players" drama and technical club
The West Humboldt Park Players drama clubs begin their season in the middle of September and end in February. The clubs put on three to four public performances. In the process, the students hone their technical and performance skills. Children must complete summer camp and participate in the Grand Finale in order to be eligible for the drama clubs. |
